  1. a. 7 / 10 x 5 = 35/10 (small = 3 a.m. to 1 p.m. / 2)

    b. 1 / 2 x 1 / 3 = 1 / 6 (multiply, multiply the numerator and denominator)

    c. 3 feet = 36 inches
    36 from 3 xdivided / 4 = 36 x 4 / 3
    36 x 4 / 3 = 144 / 3 (reduction = 48)

  2. a.
    W = 7 / 10 x L
    and,
    L = 5
    so,
    W = 7 / 10 x 5
    W = 7 / 2 inches

    b.

    Cake eaten = 1 / 3 * 1 / 2 = 1 / 6
    Fraction of the whole cake = 1-1/3-1/6 = 1 / 2.
    So I ate half the cake!

    c.

    First you should know that there is a foot 12 inches.
    Now,
    3 feet = 3 x 12 = 36 inches
    How far 3/4inch = 36 / (3 / 4) = 48 pounds

    HPE this helps!

  3. a) W = (* 7 / 10) L then W = (7 / 10) * 5 = 35/10 = 3.5 "

    b) 1 / 3 * 1 / 2 = 1 / 6

    c) = 36inch 3feet, then 36 / (3 / 4) = 36 * 4 / 3 = 144 / 3 = 48 pounds
