My work requires me to drive over 100 miles per day, so I'm looking for an economical car. I have a Ford Escort diesel, that more than 87 crank but not start. The owner says it is 90% that it is the fuel injection pump. You wonder how a repair is expensive.

Injection pumps for diesel engines are more expensive, I have an 84 Suburban with 6.2 diesel and fuel injection pump for only 790 $. Therefore, you should make sure that your fuel pump before replacing it.
ReplyDeleteHere you will find a pump that uses the 100 to $ 200. From my experience with diesel engines, particularly diesel Escort. I looked at the fuel filter, pump priming. They tend to become clogged or develop fail.Filter an air leak. I Filtere temporary deviation from a hook an electric fuel pump on the track. It should begin.

As mentioned above could easily spark plug wiring or heating / Timer them.es had a problem with a diesel engine to be maintained, for which the witnesses must come into play glow plugs for the required time, but the plugs did not start, not all current car . I "Bodger" is a direct cable connection from the battery to use a motorcycle old valve and then the glow plugs. I have to motivate the little hook on the magnet via a button on the dashboard and had no problems thereafter.The spare parts would cost between about £ 100 only way to check is the distributor circuit test. The plugs and jacks himself.
